Mark's family is pleased to announce that the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation has honored Mark's memory with a scholarship, to be awarded every year to a Caribbean student studying in North America. Here is a letter from Richard S. Kahn, Chairman of the CHTA Education Foundation:
Dear Mark and Linda:
On behalf of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation, as Chairman of the Foundation, I am proud to announce that we are instituting a new scholarship for Caribbean youth in Mark's name.
Starting in 2017 there will be an annual $5,000 Mark Ozawa scholarship offered first to a qualified student from St. Lucia and, if there are no qualified St. Lucian applicants, then to a Caribbean student studying in North America. This scholarship will be provided by the Foundation to honor Mark Ozawa's work with the Foundation.
We are proud that we at the Foundation were to have worked with Mark Ozawa and how much we appreciated his insightful input over the past two years.
Best Regards,
Richard
